Took my Tesla for a state inspection and was failed because of my CLEAR UV film on the front windshield. When I showed them the guidelines on the DPS website they refused to even look at them. So they don’t know the Texas law and refuse to be educated. One extra star for free snacks
Hi Russ, we understand your frustration about your window tint. According to Texas state law, only 25% VLT tint is allowed above the AS-1 line or top 5 inches of the windshield. Your tint covered the whole windshield, which is against regulations. We understand the internet may say differently, but we need to follow the rules, or we get finned. Please be respectful of our staff and time in the future.
