I really hate how this place has gone downhill since my wife & I first started going when we first moved to this side of town. I’ll keep it short and say, yes the reviews about these “stringent” inspection requirements are true. I was in the shop for less than 5 minutes, when the bald gentleman with the reddish beard came trotting across the parking lot from Aldi’s from hanging out with his significant other. He looked at my car(it’s a 2022, no modifications, the inspection is merely a formality here) from the lobby, in an overcast/rainy day and told me it wouldn’t pass inspection because of the windows being too dark. Rather than argue or waste my time I just grabbed my stuff and left 😂😂😂 on the way out he informed me to “…go to a smaller garage they’ll surely pass it.” I did it so you don’t have to, don’t waste your time here. Go across the street to Brakes Plus or to the Valvoline and Tori or Raphael will get you taken care of in 20 minutes or less. For kicks, during my inspection I asked them to check my tint percentage and it’s the legal 25. Avoid this place and save your time and money.

In my opinion, Honest - 1 Auto Care is anything but honest. The first thing I don’t like about them is they charge you a fee if you don’t pay with cash. They say it’s to cover the credit card fee they pay but that’s baked into the price of the service. It’s just an extra fee. We took my wife’s car there because AC unit was not cooling. They charged us over $500 to perform a diagnostic service, repair a leak and add coolant. About a week later, my wife started noticing the AC as starting to blow warm air just like before. Over the next week the air temp continued to get warmer until it was back to where it was before we took it in. When we took the car back they told us we now have a leak somewhere else and it’s going to cost more than $700 to fix it this time. The individual we dealt with was arrogant and condesending and would not work with us at all. After we complained, they said they would waive the diagnostic fee that they shouldn’t have charged us for in the first place since we came back for the same problem. I recommend staying as far away from this place as possible.

Found our O2 sensor was under warranty-repair completed timely at no cost.

Great customer service. Good time management. Worked with my crazy schedule to get my car done in the time I had available. Looked up and honored warranty. Trustworthy!
