I was very excited to take one of my vehicles here after seeing the news story about a woman owned car shop and being given honest quotes. I called, briefly detailed what was going on and said we had gotten some outrageous quotes and wanted to see what their bid would be. I set an appointment and my husband drove the hour to the shop to have them check it out. That's when they decided to tell him it was $105 just for a diagnosis. If the point of this shop is because woman are tired of being misguided and treated differently then why would they not tell someone who calls in that there is a diagnostic fee? It makes sense to me that as a Woman, I don't know this is a typical practice. My husband was apologized to and told they are "learning and living". In my experience customer service goes a long way. In part of their learning curve and considering my husband just drove an hour, they could have comped the diagnostics and wrote it off as a learning curve and possibly gained us a loyal customer. Additionally, Jiffylube did not charge anything for diagnostics and Firestone charged $22 which tells me they are price gauging before they ever look at your car. I am disappointed in my experience as I was really looking forward to giving them my business. At the end they offered to put it on the rack and take a quick peek. By this point we were done and declined the offer and decided to stay somewhere close to home.
