I've taken my car to the Honest-1 location on Windhaven several times for oil changes. The time it took to complete was appropriate in the past. Location is clean and staff is always friendly and price is right. They always accurately recommended what needed to be taken care of ( oh I made sure they proved it to me ) Once they even filled my flat so I could make it to the tire station. So why give them a 1-star now? We'll I think the staff or outlook has changed...oh sure, they still smile (passive aggressively)... but read on... This time I wanted to get the 60K mile service. ( I think they should re-name the place to "We can honestly just do oil changes now") They mentioned they perform all car services except collision repair. They told me they could inspect the standard checklist and would let me know what repairs were required. So because I've had a decent experience with them in the past, I thought I could trust Honest-1 to do things they said they would do. Boy was I disappointed....see red flags below: - They did not open the hood of my car (hey car guys, how many things do you think they forgot to check?) - My tire pressure light is still on (no mention of that in the feedback ) - I already know my car is shaky when I brake (no mention of that in the feedback + plus I saw the only guy of color in back point out suspension or brakes to the manager - wow) - They did not ask if I wanted to perform tire rotation which is standard in 60K service - And the cherry on top, they did NOT replace my oil change sticker (I "honestly" don't think they performed the oil change at all) ! Oh and I got my car back after an hour and 15 minutes of barely doing any kind of inspection ( come on now - you guys have a direct view to the garage ) I shouldn't care what the reasons are for this type of change in service/heart by Honest-1 and should just stick to the facts but based on other negative reviews I think my intuition is right on. I did also feel the staff was being patronizing (hey assist manager guy, if I go and come back at an appointed time I save myself 30 mins - just be straightforward and tell me you don't do appointments). I personally believe what's happening is a subtle form of racism with passive aggressiveness (they are neglecting the actual problems with my car, or over / unnecessarily charging others). That's why you will see sporadic bad reviews with specific content on their performance that just doesn't seem right. That's ok though because in the end they are wasting their own potential talents/time/dignity . They might have gotten some of my $$/time but reviews are forever.
